Our certified Level 2 instructor under the prestigious PSBJJA, is Wayne who achieved purple belt under Renzo Gracie Cape Town in 2013, where he was an instructor who always stood out by with technical teaching focusing on the mechanics of Jiu-Jitsu and has always been an advocate of mastering basics through self-defence and having an innovative and creative approach to the evolution of Jiu-Jitsu. Wayne has graded in Judo under Ian Geustyn a 5th DAN, J.S.A level 2 coach. Wayne has trained and competed in Kickboxing nationally.

We do require members to have clean BJJ Uniforms, wear mouth guards at all times, wear a long sleeve rash-guard for No-Gi training, a short sleeve rash-guard may be worn under your Gi for Gi training and we require respect for your coaches and training partners.
Flip flops must be worn outside the mat area from the change room area.
We hold the right of admission.
Garda Síochána vetting may be required for new members.

By participating in training sessions, classes, events, or any activities at Rolling Oaks Jiu-Jitsu, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Assumption of Risk:
Jiu-Jitsu is a physically demanding martial art that involves grappling, throwing, joint locks, and submissions. By choosing to participate in our gym's activities, you understand and accept the inherent risks associated with Jiu-Jitsu training. These risks include, but are not limited to, potential injuries, strains, sprains, bruises, fractures, and more severe injuries. Please take out personal insurance to cover yourself.
2. Physical Health:
You affirm that you are in good physical health and have no medical conditions that could prevent you from safely participating in Jiu-Jitsu training. If you have any health concerns or medical conditions, we strongly advise you to consult with a healthcare professional before joining our classes.
3. Training Responsibility:
As a participant, you are responsible for training at a level that is appropriate for your skill and fitness level. It is essential to listen to your body, communicate any discomfort or pain to the instructors, and refrain from engaging in activities that may exceed your capabilities.
4. Protective Gear:
While we prioritize safety, we encourage all participants to wear appropriate protective gear during training sessions, including but not limited to, mouthguards, rash guards, protective cups (for males), and joint support, as deemed necessary.
5. Training Environment:
At Rolling Oaks Jiu-Jitsu, we maintain a respectful and inclusive training environment. Participants are expected to show courtesy to fellow practitioners, instructors, and staff members at all times. Any form of bullying, harassment, or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of membership.
6. Property and Personal Belongings:
Rolling Oaks Jiu-Jitsu is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought onto the gym premises. Please ensure that you secure your belongings before participating in any activities.
7. Consent to Photography and Filming:
During training sessions or gym events, Rolling Oaks Jiu-Jitsu may take photographs or record videos for promotional purposes. By participating in our activities, you grant permission for the use of your likeness in promotional materials without any compensation. Please let us know if you do not want any of your photos published.
8. Minors:
At current we do not have children’s classes.
However when we do eventually we will require parents or legal guardians of minor participants must provide written consent for their child's participation in Jiu-Jitsu training at Rolling Oaks Jiu-Jitsu. The responsible adult should also ensure that the minor complies with all gym rules and safety guidelines.
9. Changes to Schedule or Policies:
Rolling Oaks Jiu-Jitsu reserves the right to modify class schedules, instructors, training techniques, and policies without prior notice.
By signing up for classes or participating in any activities at Rolling Oaks Jiu-Jitsu, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this disclaimer. If you do not agree with any part of this disclaimer, we advise you not to participate in our Jiu-Jitsu training programs.
10. Payment terms and conditions
All members must maintain an active membership and are required to pay their fees through Stripe to participate in classes. Please note that membership fees may be adjusted periodically, and new members may be subject to different rates than existing members.
